Guitarist Gregory Śmigielski and bassist Wojciech Szlachetka formed the band Trolle in 1985 and persuaded second guitarist Anatol Glaser, singer Stanisław Bąk and drummer Wojciech Brzeziński to join them. After doing some shows, they changed their name to Slaver and recorded a self-titled demo.
They changed their name again in 1987 to Thrasher Death and recorded another demo in October entitled You Must Kill, introducing new bassist Ryszard Bujak. They gigged alongside Imperator, Morgoth, Leviathan and Slavoy. More line-up changes followed as Bąk and Brzeziński were recruited by the Polish army.
Norbert Różański from Merciless Death took drum duties while vocals were taken by Glaser on the demo Women Die, recorded in June 1988 at the ARP Studios in Szczecin.
In 1989, the army recruited Glaser and the band remained inactive for a year. The project was reactivated to do a few shows during 1991 and 1992 with new drummer Maciej Pick, but split-up shortly afterwards. Śmigielski and Glaser formed Psychotron in 1992, embracing a groove metal sound.
Both Śmigielski and Glaser resurrected Thrasher Death in 2008, incorporating new singer Piotr "Stoner King" Fryca, bassist Piotr "Carmen Elekktra" Kwaśnik and drummer Paweł "Thunderfoxx" Krause, doing new versions of old songs – playing shows again in their home country, Germany and the Netherlands.
